A trip to Mexico and Costa Rica...
DavidGood morning everyone [8D] I have just returned from a ten day jaunt down to Mexico City, and San Jose, Costa Rica. Whilst at the hotel in Mexico City, I accessed the Internet and left a message on this page, apparently it didn't get through to you [:(] I must admit that the page looked quite different than the one I view here in the USA, but it was the Leyland page....the 'clock' was there in plain view [:)] Anyway, just a little info. about the trip....I was with a travelling football (soccer) team, mainly Brits, some of whom caught up with us in Mexico from as far afield as, Chicago, Miami, Germany, and even Indonesia. The team played eight games in ten days, won 3, lost 3, tied 2. The 'best' win was against the British Embassy team in Mexico City..4-3, I reffed that one [8D] Considereing that the game was played at over 7,000 feet above sea level, the team did very well [:o)] And the nice part was that we were all invited to a reception at the embassy after the game....so you guys being British tax payers, I'll duly thank you for that...[8D][8D][8D] But I wonder just where that posting went to [?] Maybe Martin can answer that one [:D]
MartinHi David I found your topic in the A to Z, which is a different section of the forum. I have moved it into Leyland Talk [:)] http://forum.leylandtown.info/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=228&SearchTerms=costa

Not only that, but I've been to Wigan Pier as well, and I quite enjoyed that visit too. Specially the old school house, and the 'fly wheel' in the mill. Well worth the visit. Thanks for the comment.[8D][8D][8D]

Wigan Pier too? The delights of Costa Rica must have paled in comparison! [;)] I've taken a few friends and relations round the Wigan Pier complex - it always goes down well. There's a Museum of Childhood there too now - real nostalgia trip! [8D]
MartinI've not been to Wigan Pier for some years now. Perhaps I can treat Hayley to a tour one day.

If you let me know, I'll join you (if that's OK?), but be warned - the Museum of Childhood has Action man and spacehoppers and makes you feel rather old!
